We take pride in the quality of products and services we offer, so we do not offer things "just to get rich" like many other virtual assistant "resource" sites out there. We truly want you to succeed and to do so without breaking your bank account, which in today's economy is highly important.
Heather McMillan has been a virtual assistant since before the term virtual assistant was even created. She started providing virtual secretarial services part time online as The At Home Secretary on a site hosted for free on Geocities. She used this income for spending money or paying unexpected bills, but she never imagined back in 1996 that this could turn into a profitable and rewarding career.
In 2005, Heather had the opportunity by leaving her full time job to make her virtual assistant business full time real. It was a hard step for this practical and thrifty Scotswoman and Capricorn to make, but she did it on a leap of faith. And it turned out to be the greatest experience of her life professionally.
Now life as a virtual assistant hasn't always been and isn't always peaches and cream. Their are ups and downs to running your own business and conforming to changing times just as with anything else in life. And while Heather does not profess to know it all, she comes with a wealth of knowledge from 12 years in the industry as well as second-hand knowledge from those she has coached, mentored, and assisted with creating their own part time or full time virtual assistant businesses.
Due to a hectic schedule that Heather is currently under, many of the paid services and products on this site are heavily scaled down. However, we are still offering some of the most popular products at affordable rates and some services are available--but unfortunately those are only available at higher rates now due to the decreased availability of Heather's time.
